Megaupload Non-Members

For non-members, step 1 is to copy a Megaupload (hereafter called MU) link to your clipboard by highlighting and pressing CTRL-C (for Mac's I don't know what you do). Then, either paste that into Start | Run and press Enter or paste into the address bar of your browser.

After the link page loads you'll need to manually type in the three letters presented to the left of the input box. In this case, it's CAK. Press download.

If you typed in the letters correctly, you'll be presented with a download timer. Non-members must wait longer than basic members.

After several seconds the box will change to Free Download. You must click it within sixty seconds or so or it will expire.

A download dialog box will appear. Click Save and save it to your computer.

Megaupload Basic Members

If you are a basic member to MU, the steps are pretty much the same. We recommend becoming a basic member over a non-member as their are a few benefits. The main one, for you, is that it decreases the wait time for downloads.

Type in your username and password and click Login.

You can then paste your Megaupload link into the address bar and press enter. As before, type in the three letters and press download.

Basic Members Using Mega Manager

If you do not have Mega Manager installed, you can download and install it by visiting www.megaupload.com/megamanager.

If you do not want to install their toolbar, select Custom Setup or whatever and make sure that's unchecked.

After it's installed, login to your basic account (bottom arrow). Notice how many auto-downloads you have remaining (right arrow). Auto-downloads are simply downloading without waiting. Premium members have this as an unlimited feature. Essentially, basic members can download three files per day. Make sure you're in the Download pane (top arrow). Click add new download (left arrow).

Paste your MU link into the box and press OK.

Your file begins downloading! Your auto-download count will be decremented by one.
